Eligibility for Our Services

Homecare Aide qualifications:

1. one of the following types of education or experience:

• a high school diploma or general education diploma;

• one year of employment in a comparable human service capacity, or experience in care for a dependent child or adult family member; or

• demonstration of continued progress towards meeting the educational requirement of a general education diploma by current registration and evidence of successful completion of course work (successful completion means achievement of a grade of "C" or higher); and

2. Possess legal residency documentation.

3. Maintains a clean record in IDPH system.

4. Is passionate about caring for the elderly.

   Participant Eligibility Requirement:

   • 60 years or older

   • Physically challenged

   • Illinois resident

   • U.S. citizen or a green card holder for at least five years

   • Medicaid eligible
